Genos Investments founded in 2021 is a private limited liability investment company with an investment philosophy based on the principles of value investing. It currently invests through Genos Fund, a Registered Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF) fund externally managed by an appointed authorised Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM).
Genos is a Registered Alternative Investment Fund (RAIF) managed by Wealth Fund Services (WFS) an appointed authorized AIFM. It was set up in 2022 as a concentrated, long only, unlevered value fund targeting undervalued securities in public markets. We look for businesses whose economic / business value exceeds their going market price by an amount sufficient to provide us a margin of safety against the risk of a permanent loss of capital while simultaneously offering a satisfactory return. We further reduce the risk of permanent loss of capital by using no leverage (margin), we do not speculate in derivative markets, and we always maintain a cash position to take advantage of potential market wide declines or specific opportunities as they arise. Given the concentrated nature of the fund, returns are unlikely to come in regular intervals but rather in lump sums over a long time horizon, averaging out to a satisfactory yearly return. It has been our experience that if our fundamental analysis is correct, the market will eventually agree with us.
